Short History of Life in the U.S.A., Places We Lived, Children, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren

Until my husband’s retirement June 16, 1996, he was privileged to teach at Lakeside Lutheran High School (2 years), Lake Mills, Wisconsin. We also were privileged to do home mission work at Lord And Savior (11 years), Crystal Lake, Illinois, at Lord And Savior (7 years), Waunakee, Wisconsin, and Abiding Savior (3 years), Weslaco, Texas.

From Weslaco, Texas, we went to retire where our son, Timothy, his wife, Susan, and their children lived — Medford, Wisconsin. But our Tim received a Call as Pastor/Director to the ROC (Recreational And Outreach Center For The Youth) from the four WISCONSIN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN SYNOD (WELS) churches (St. Mark’s, St. John’s, St. Luke’s, and Trinity) in Watertown, Wisconsin. So, we moved again. We now live at 1520 Lakeside Terrace, Watertown, Wisconsin, a stone’s throw from the old brickyard where Dick and I had our first date!

We are richly blessed. Debbie and her husband, Glen Wilson (Head of Maintenance, Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin), live in Colgate, Wisconsin, and have three children. Dick(ie) (Computer Technician,) and his wife, Wanda, live in Orlando, Florida, and have three children. Tim (Pastor/Director of the ROC) lives in Watertown, Wisconsin, with his wife, Susan, and have five children. Sue and her husband, Jim Weiland (Pastor, Christ Ev. Lutheran Church) live in Merrill, Wisconsin, and have five children. Stephanie and her husband, Jeffrey Heitsch (Pastor, Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church) live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and have three children. Steve (Computer Technician, Veolia – Worldwide), and his wife, Melody, live in West Bend, Wisconsin. We have 20 grandchildren (One in heaven) and 19 great grandchildren (4 in heaven and 2 to be born this year, 2007). We are richly blessed, and thank God for all of His bountiful blessings.

Thank you, Dick, my dear husband, for the love, help, and patience you gave me while I was writing this book for you and our wonderful children. Thank you for taking me to places and people only some people can dream about. Thank you, God, and kind people, relatives and friends, of the WISCONSIN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN SYNOD for granting me the privilege of being at my husband’s side (his helpmeet) as he served God as a full-time missionary, both here in the United States and in Africa.
